A new initiative for the IEA Western Pacific region has recently developed between the IEA and the Australasian Epidemiology Association (AEA).
We are co-funding a new Regional Collaboration Award to support collaboration and exchange between IEA and AEA members. We are planning to fund two one-off Awards of AU$2000 ($1000 contributed by each Association) to stimulate new collaborations or exchanges between AEA and IEA members, or to enhance existing relationships. The purpose is to share capacity and build collaborations between Australia/NZ and other countries in the region. Applications can be initiated by IEA or AEA members (including new members), and must involve a member from each Association, with one member based in a country outside of Australia or New Zealand (AEA’s main membership base). The limited funds available are mainly intended to support or offset travel expenses, but any justified research-related expenses will be considered. Please see the attached application details. Two awards will be made this year.
The closing date for applications is Friday 30 October 2015.
