Dr. Vinod K Srivastava, MD, DPH, MSc (LSHTM), the current IEA-SEA Regional Councilor, is a senior Public Health Specialist who served in India as a Professor of Social & Preventive Medicine at King George’s Medical University, Lucknow for over 18 years. Recently he also served for a short spell as Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Integral University, Lucknow, India and Vice Chancellor, Texila American University, Georgetown, Guyana, South America.
Dr. Srivastava received his trainings in epidemiology at CDC / Emory University, Atlanta and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, London. He has published over 125 research papers and guided over 40 MD and PhD theses. He has also worked as Chief Editor of the Indian Journal of Public Health.
He is recipient of Fellowships of Indian Public Health Association, Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine, National Academy of Medical Sciences, India and Indian Society of Medical Statistics. He has also served as the National President of the Indian Public Health Association and Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine. Dr. Srivastava is also an active member of the International Clinical Epidemiology Network (INCLEN).
Dr. Srivastava has worked in improving the IEA membership in the SEA Region. He has also been instrumental in organization of large number of scientific events including 5 National Level Conferences in India and IEA-SEA Regional Scientific Meetings in Sri Lanka (2010) and Nepal (2013).
