Manami Inoue, MD, PhD, is the Division Chief at the Center for Public Health Sciences, National Cancer Center, Japan
She graduated from the University of Tsukuba, Japan and qualified as MD in 1990. She received her PhD in medicine at Nagoya University, Japan in 1995, and completed an MS in Epidemiology in 1996 at Harvard School of Public Health, USA.
She spent from 1992 in Nagoya at the Aichi Cancer Center Research Institute, Japan. In 2002, she joined the National Cancer Center, Japan. She was appointed as the Project Professor at The University of Tokyo in 2012, before joining the Center for Public Health Sciences, National Cancer Center, Japan, as Division Chief in 2017.
Editorial committee of the Journal of Epidemiology (Editor-in-Chief 2014-2016); Executive Board member of Japan Epidemiological Association (2016-); the chair of the International Exchange Committee of the Japan Epidemiological Association (2017-); Executive Committee member and Coordinating center of the Asia Cohort Consortium.
Her research interest includes: Cancer epidemiology, large-scale population-based cohort study, cancer statistics, cancer registry methodology, systematic review and meta-analysis, pooled analysis, international and domestic cohort consortium.
