Officers/Executive Committee Members:

  • President: Akindele Adebiyi (Nigeria)
  • President-Elect: Eduardo France (Canada)
  • Secretary: Jennifer Salerno (Canada)
  • Treasurer: Chihaya Koriyama (Japan)

The death of President Chandra Mani Pandey last year left a vacancy in the Executive Committee for the role of Immediate Past President. In accordance with Section 5.5.10 of IEA’s Constitution, Council has elected current IEA Secretary Karina Braga Ribeiro (Brazil) to this position which will complete the Executive Committee.

Regional Councilors who will representing the interests of members on Council include:

  • Africa: Armand Nkwescheu (Cameroon)
  • Europe: Raquel Lucas (Portugal)
  • Latin America/Caribbean: Antonio Boing (Brazil)
  • Middle East North Africa: Mary Deeb (Lebanon)
  • Southeast Asia: Chandrakant Lahariya (India)
  • Western Pacific: Brigid Lynch (Australia)

An election for the regional councilor of North America, and the Latin America/Caribbean ECE Councilor, who will represent the interests of the ECE representatives on Council, will be held in due course.

Early Career Representatives, who will work with the Regional Councilors on programming and membership in their regions include:

  • Africa: Moleen Dzikiti (South Africa)
  • Europe: Saaed Ahmad (Finland)
  • Middle East North Africa: Rachel Btaiche (UAE)
  • Southeast Asia: Santosh Pentapati (India)
