New initiatives strengthen regional collaboration across IEA networks

The International Epidemiological Association (IEA) continues to strengthen its global presence through new initiatives aimed at enhancing collaboration across its regional networks.

These initiatives focus on increasing knowledge exchange, promoting regional research partnerships, and supporting capacity building in epidemiology and public health.

Strengthening Regional Engagement

IEA regional groups play a vital role in connecting researchers, practitioners, and institutions working to address health challenges in different parts of the world. The new initiatives will support regional activities such as:

  • collaborative research projects
  • training workshops and webinars
  • regional conferences and networking events
  • student and early-career engagement programs

By expanding these efforts, IEA aims to create stronger connections between its global membership and encourage the sharing of expertise across borders.

Supporting Future Leaders in Epidemiology

A key component of the initiative is increased support for early-career epidemiologists. Mentorship programs, leadership opportunities, and educational resources will help nurture the next generation of researchers and public health leaders.

Through these initiatives, IEA continues its mission of advancing epidemiological science and improving population health worldwide.
